Skinning has several general problems

1) In order to get full control using CSS for sking all table, td, a and image ele elements should have classes - it could be then easy to even hide elements

2) fixed image sizes are harmful

3) several - in practice recundant - /gfx/-folders are harmful - plugins use different folders and skinning doesn't always work; in overall it would be VERY desirable to get rid of all dupclicate files - the make downloading Typo3 slow and Typo3 takes unnecessary much disk space because of duplicate files

4) skinning doesn't work at all in frontend editing (I have made a separate bug report concerning frontent editing and skinning)
