after new Installation of TYPO3 4.0rc1
I saw the following Problems within the
Install Tool "Basic Configuration"
typo3temp/ writable
typo3temp/pics/ writable
typo3temp/temp/ directory does not exist
Full path: /kunden/homepages/40/d33990111/htdocs/isedv/typo/dummy/typo3temp/temp/
This folder is part of the typo3temp/ section. It needs to be writable, too.
This error should not occur as typo3temp/temp/ must always be accessible in the root of a TYPO3 website.

typo3temp/GB/ directory does not exist

After creating directories manually everything works fine.

What files did you use for the installation?
In the dummy-package (.tar.gz) of rc1 there is just an empty typo3temp, so all the subdirs have to be manually created (pics, temp, llxml, cs, GB). It makes sense to first create the directory and then assign the correct rights for them, otherwise you do it twice.
Michael Stucki : It would be comfortable to have a dummy-package containing all directories which are checked by the install-tool basic-configuration. Thanks for your good work anyway!
