Marker in page tree not updated when selecting a page with templates

Description
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have a site with several pages and templates on at least one of them.
2. In the BE page tree, select any page that doen't have a template on it. Note that the page gets highligheted in the page tree.
3. Click on Page/Templates.
4. You are now requested to select a page with templates on it in the rightmost frame. Select any of these by clicking on it.
Expected results:
The selected page is openened in the right-most frame. in addition, the selected page is highlighted in the page tree.
Actual results:
The selected page is openened in the right-most frame. Still, the previous page stays highlighted in the page tree.

The issue is very old, does this issue exists in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
