Description

We created several backend "base" groups to be able to define different access levels. Each group allows only a certain set of functions and/or provides db mounts.

Then we created "user" groups - well, which will be assigned to the user. These groups include some of the "base" groups. It works great and we are flexible!

But we noticed that the page tree order depends on the order of the "base" groups (which provide mount points).

At the moment we can change the names of the groups, in order to get the preferred sorting. This works but if the field "Sub Group" would be sortable manually, it would be more comfortable. :)

As this report is very old, is the handling in newer TYPO3 CMS Versions (like 6.0/6.1) more like you expect it?

I don't know if it was changed but the page tree order is not very important anymore for us. We use a lot less BE groups now.
