Backend loops when logging in and loads itself nestedly again and again

Description
When I log into the backend the system goes into the loop of loading the page module. The right frame loads the backend, then the right frame again loads the backend and so on till forever (nesting in the frame).
I solved it by explicitly telling the User config to start with page module. But it is really confusing after install, especially for those not familiar with TYPO3.

Your PHP version is not 4.3, is it?
Can you reproduce this with all browsers?

It IS 4.3. Now I can not reproduce it, because after I upgraded from 4.2 there was no module selected to start with at user configuration. At the moment after I selected to start from Page module it is ok. But when I want again to select to start with no modules, it changes to About modules every time. So this behavior is ok now, after I explicitely selected what to start with for the first time.
Also I use Mozilla Firefox, so I'm sure the issue is about every browser.
TYPO3 4.3 needs at least PHP 5.2. I wonder how you got it running on that outdated PHP version...
Please reopen this issue, if you can reproduce this problem on a system with at least PHP 5.2.
Sorry, just misspeled. I meant php 5.3 (the latest release)
I cannot reproduce such behaviour.
Please check if your webserver really meets all the requirements as listed in INSTALL.txt.

Most probably a configuration issue. Please use the mailing lists for such issues!
