Front-end login is broken with Safari

Description
Login not possible with mac, leopard 10 and safari 4.04.
No problems with Safari,Opera, IE on windows, or Firefox on Mac.
The internal site menupoint first appears, after put on the menupoint, the menupoint disappears whitout show the concerning site.

As far as I understand your description I'm able to reproduce the problem here too (MAC OS X, Safari 4.0.4).
When clicking on any tab of the menu directly after successful login you will be logged out without any further notation and the login box will show up again.
The problem can be reproduced with konqueror 3.5.9 on a opensuse linux 11.0.

The issue is very old, does this issue exists in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
