Usergroup with restricted permissions / no error message when adding page content outside of assigned pagetree

Description
I have a Backend-User Group called "global" that has full permissions on the whole pagetree.
Another group called "Restricted Users" has full permissions on a small part of the pagetree and is restricted to the language chinese.
Following permissions on global pagetree:
Group:
Global - Show pages, edit content, edit pages, delete pages, new page
All - Showpages, edit content
If i login with a user that is assigned to the "Restricted Users" group and no other group and also does not have any further individual permissions set, he cannot edit exisiting page contents of languages besides Chinese.
The restricted user has the option to add New page content and can choose Content type and also can type in some content, on saving the new page content is not saved but there is also no error message that the user's permissions are not sufficient.
For useability reasons i would hide the option to add new page content.

Hi,
as this issue is very old. Does the problem still exists within newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
