RTE unable to put hyperlink on image, js-error IE8

Description

Add an image inside the RTE, and adding a hyperlink on it is not possible in IE8, resulting in a JavaScript error:

"Message: Object doesn't support this property or method" in the "htmlarea_cumulative_1ad6334e1316efa2241c_compressed"-file.

It seems in 4.4.4 this was not the case, although i don't have any 4.4.4-install running anymore.

still around in 4.4.6. Highly annoying. In 4.4.4 there's no problem.

I have the same Problem
Typo3 V . 4.3.9
rtehtmlarea V 1.8.13

I needed a quick fix so a had to downgrade the rtehtmlarea modul to V 1.8.12

This is fixed by the patch attached to issue #0017160.
Please confirm.

Clear the RTE cache, using the Backend Clear cache menu, after applying the patch. In TYPO3 4.3, delete all files from typo3temp/rtehtmlarea
