broken GIFBUILDEER with niceText

Description
After upgrading pakages on my two FreeBSD servers I got broken GIFBUILDER if niceText used. Instead of text I'm getting empty pic or pic with few random dots on background. If I remove niceText then pic is ok.
Looks like it doesn't depend on TYPO3 and PHP versions (I tried 4.4.5, 4.4.6 and 4.4.7 versions and PHP ver 5.2 and 5.3).
Most probably it is because of updating IM / GD. I have now ImageMagick-nox11-6.6.6.10 and gd-2.0.35_7,1 versions.
Most strange that text with niceText is generating well in Install Tool, and not working from TS (however Install Tool generates it not via GIFBUILDER but calling directly t3lib_stdGraphic API)

as this issue is very old. Does the problem still exists within newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (6.2.3)?
