File Storage cannot be set as online

Hi,
i would like to use some custom File Storage. The one already exists is 'fileadmin/' that is created by default. I tried to create new storage in 2 locations: my general record storage folder and the root page (uid 0). In both locations i can create new storage record and fill all data i want. Then when i go to List module my storage is listed at the very bottom but is marked as offline (folder with the padlock icon).
I moved back to edit this record, set "Is online?" checkbox and saved changes (the first save icon that returns to record) and after record form reload this options was checked. Then i closed form and clicked edit record again and now the "Is online?" checkbox was not marked. So whatever i do i can't make my storage online :/

- there is typo in my post. The option i tried to set was "Is online?" checkbox.

I experience a similar issue.
Also the default folder 'fileadmin (auto created)', cannot be set as online.
Any update on this?

seems the folder is not accessible... please check your filesystem and report back

Steffan i can't remeber this issue but i think it was problem with my configuration as i later fixed this (forgot about this report). Please close this one. If i get it again somehow than i report it again with more datails.

Im experiencing a similar issue.
I changed fileadmin (auto created) to offline, now it cannot be set as online.
Anyone have any Idea about this
