Further more it will be necessary to update translations on http://translation.typo3.org - I will also take care of this after this is merged!

I guess als the documentation on typo3.org will have to be updated after this is merged - i will try to support the documentation team in this area but will need some guidance.

Hi,

what should it be called, if not "Templates"? It's only
about Templates and Template configuration. And as
we are in TYPO3 it's a representation of TYPO3's way
to deal with Templates. I don't see an issue here. But
maybe I didn't got the point.

What do you mean with "Template" here? Frontend HTML-CSS-JS-Templates? TypoScript-Templates?

TypoScript is not only about dealing with HTML-CSS-JS-Templates. It is also used for other things like configuring TYPO3 extensions or the caching behaviour of TYPO3.

Infact I think also "TypoScript Template" is not the best term for it - i guess something like "TypoScript record" would be more appropriate. But as "TypoScipt Template" is known well in the TYPO3 community i guess it would not be that easy to drop the term "Template" completely...

...but if you think this would get enough support in the community i would love to offer my help to update TYPO3 backend labels, texts and documentation!
