The forms extension needs a major rewrite. The new extension has to meet the following requirements.

General requirements¶

• combining concepts of the major 3rd party extensions like powermail, formhandler
• modern architecture (Extbase, Fluid, jQuery)

For editors¶

• user friendly
• powerful form wizard
• built in reports module

For integrators¶

• easy to style, enhance, and extend
• integrated spam protection

For developers¶

• data manipulation at any point
• stable and sustainable

The extension will be available for TYPO3 7 and higher. Against the initial plan it will not work for 6.2.
