It's currently not possible to set the url scheme to https via parameter which should be possible

Can you specify wich viewhelper you mean? As ExternalViewHelper has a parameter defaultScheme and the TypolinkViewHelper should be configurable like typolinks.

I agree. Both f:link.external and f:link.typoLink support overriding the scheme and all other link-generating ViewHelpers respect the scheme selected in the target page or defined as global default (using typoLink registries).

I don't think it should be a decision in the View when to generate a https/http link to internal pages or controller actions (for external maybe, yes. TypoLink supports it kind of involuntary because it supports passing the entire configuration).

If there's some obvious use case that I'm not seeing then please feel free to come back with a closer description and I'll consider that (but it is definitely not a "must have, bug") ;)
