Bug #73142
closedrtehtmlarea Selecting multiple text blocks via mouse hides format options, "Select all" via keyboard works
0%
Description
Let's assume we have 2 blocks of text in the RTE. They are paragraphs, left aligned (by default).
If I want to change those 2 blocks into H2 headlines, aligned center, I have two options:
- click the mouse courser into each block and change the format or
- hit "Select all" on the keyboard (Ctrl+a on windows) and change the format
This works nicely. However, when I select both blocks via mouse (click and drag) the format options are disabled.
This behavior is not intuitive and is annoying for editors.

Sven, I am sorry for the late answer.
I tried to reproduce your issue with 6.2.25 but I failed... I tried adding on a new fresh textarea a couple of paragraphs, so the resulting HTML was:
<p>prova riga 1</p><p>prova riga 2</p>
Then I was able to select them and change them into H2
- dragging the mouse
- double clicking on them
- using select all (ctrl+A)
- using the "Path: body»p" below the textarea.
Can you test with the latest 6.2 and tell me if the problem still occurs, or can you give me more info about how to reproduce? Thank you!

I also tried to reproduce with the latest 8.4-dev from master, failing.
If you think that this is the wrong decision or the issue comes out again or have more information about how to reproduce it, please open a new issue with a reference to this one.
Thank you.
