If you save a new linkvalidator task in Scheduler and the validation of the fields failed then all external fields are reset to their default values.

Reproduce:
Add a new task in scheduler
Choose Linkvalidator as Class
Put some value in "Start page (uid)", "Depth", "Overwrite TSconfig" and "Send email report to"
Press the "Save" button
Now the fields are empty
