Description

I wanted to extend the site configuration with my own fields like with type text or inline but it's very hardcoded.

I tried xclassing but only created a mess.

Is this still possible to integrate into current LTS?

Greetings
Daniel

No, thanks for the link.

I just took a look at code to understand how things work, changelog as documentation is a bit strange.

Saw the phrase "Extending site configuration is experimental and may change any time." now.

But I don't get why tca field type text is prohibited if it's handle by yaml and can be used in the core inline childs?

I will definitely take a more precisely look at the changelog.

I created a new issue for allowing "text" type. however for inline relations that is not that easy. However it is absolutely valid!
