Bug #91936

Updated by Andreas Kiessling over 3 years ago

-In In 10 LTS, redirects are automatically created when a slug changes.
This is problematic and sometimes not wanted.-

 -Example: wanted.

Example: if a site is still in development and a lot of initial content is created, every "copy page and update slug" would create a redirect entry.
Current solution is to simply disable the redirect extension...- extension...

-There There needs to be an option to disable this behaviour, ideally in the site configuration or at least globally.- globally.

-There There are also other problems with the current implementation, see #91792 and #91751-

The documentation of how to disable the automatic creation of redirecs is hidden in the changelog https://docs.typo3.org/c/typo3/cms-core/master/en-us/Changelog/10.1/Feature-89115-Auto-createRedirectsOnSlugChanges.html
This needs to be included in the redirects extension to show up at https://docs.typo3.org/Home/SystemExtensions.html #91751
