Editors had no "delete" button for file references without access rights to edit the page! I tested this behaviour with fal_media in news extension and assets in textmedia elements. I'm using TYPO3 TYPo3 in version 12.4.7. Default user rights in groups for editors are set correctly. Create a textmedia element with an image and check delete button is visible. Now remove "edit" in access rights for pages in access module. Editors can still add images and deactivate images. But no delete Button is visible in the file reference. Now allow "edit pages" in access rights module. Delete button is visible again for editors.
