Description
Following up http://forge.typo3.org/issues/34584 I would like to deposit this feature request:
Make "External URL"s behaviour configurable via TS
- traditional behaviour with link to internal page and redirect
- more standards compliant behaviour with external URL directly in the link
... I can't come up with a patch myself ... yet ... :-)
- Category set to TypoScript
- Status changed from New to Accepted
- Complexity set to medium
This should be a typoLink setting, so that it affects all links generated in TYPO3. i.e. MENU uses typolink, but also if someone links that external URL page directly - through RTE or some typolink'ed property (image click URL etc).
I like the idea (even making this the new default behaviour - warning the implementator about it in the Upgrade Wizard).
