Description

Hello,

It is always better to have the possibility to insert images in between the CKeditor contents. Normally external plugins are using, but since this is a main feature, would nice to have with TYPO3 core.

Thanks for creating the issue. However having images within the RTE reveals some serious drawbacks because of loosing relations and breaking the split of C-M-S. having images in the editor makes it impossible to redesign output or improve it later on.

There are ways like ext:news does it with the media VH having variables like [media] which are then replaced before outputing it.

however there are no plans to change the current behaviour, therefore I am closing this issue. Feel free to create an extension bringing this feature to TYPO3 but nothing is planned by the core
