if lockSSL is enabled for the backend, extensions cannot be downloaded as T3X via the backup/delete function. this is a major problem for me as i use this function to transfer an extension from dev to live system!

Can you please give some more information, e.g. the uri of the link for download, etc? (I don't have ssl here to confirm this)

if someone can set up a test environment with SSL I'd look into it.

I have lockSSL enabled (only SSL is allowed in the backend here), and backup/delete works without any problems. version 3.8.0rc1.

This is not reproducable, looking at the code I cannot see why this should happen, either.
