Description

Trying to use the DBAL extension I first tried adding 'dbal' to the $TYPO3_CONF_VARS['EXT']['extList'] doesn't work as documented in the manual. What I had to do to get it working was to set TYPO3 to connect to the MySQL server I've got left over on this devel server and then use the extension manager to load the DBAL extension. (This was done after setting the DBAL lines in localconf.php) and various mucking about, so your mileage may vary.
Using the TYPO3 core form fishfarm.de, DBAL code checked out from cvs.sf.net on apache-1.31/php-4.3.8
