Description

It would be nice, if one could setup via TypoScript the way FE-User Passwords are stored.

I think there should be a global $TYPO3_CONF_VAR - SYS for this. The handling should be the same for all FE users in the fe-users table on all pages.

A similar bug is 3650.

This issue has been solved.

Since TYPO3 4.3 there are major improvements in regards to password storing/transferring security: Asymmetric encryption (RSA) is used when transferring, salted password hashes when storing.
