rtehtmlarea does not allow creation of hyperlinks using the link button

RTE (rtehtmlarea + ckeditor)
Description
After highlighting the text to create a link on, if the create/edit link button is pressed, a popup window is comes up but only the root page's template is displayed & that without css styling. There is no interface for creating or editing links.
Happens in MSIE 6 & Firefox 1.0.7, using Typo3 v 3.8.0 & rtehtmlarea v 1.0.1.
(issue imported from #M2197)
I've updated to version 1.1.1 as suggested, & I've even upgraded Firefox to 1.5. After installation of the new extension, I made sure to flush both the typo3conf cache & the front end cache, in addition to logging out & back in. Still, I'm having the exact same problem as described before.
Do you get any error message on the Javascript console in Firefox?
Do you have the same problem with the Image insertion popup window?
Also this is listed in my T3 backend for the HTMLArea RTE extension for naming errors:
classname ->
0 TBE_browser_recordList
1 localPageTree
2 rtePageTree
3 TBE_PageTree
4 localFolderTree
5 rteFolderTree
6 TBE_FolderTree
None of the reported error messages are of any consequence.
Repeat: Do you have the same problem with the Image insertion popup window?
Can you report an image copy of the popup window as it opens? And a copy of its source html?
Sorry that I forgot to test the image insertion. Here is a direct link to an image of my desktop after invoking the "insert image" button.

Here is the html from the pop-up window:

Something to add to this is that I have had this problem with at least one other extension, & lately I haven't been having success installing some extensions without having to manually insert the extension name into the extList field in the T3 Configuration file.
Again, thank you.
The content of file http://ywamlatvia.com/typo3conf/ext/rtehtmlarea/mod1/conf.php is totally wrong. How can you get this? I have no idea. Perhaps something is corrupted in your extension manager or in your TYPO3 environment.
Using the extension manager, un-install the extension, delete the extension from your server, re-import from TER, re-install.
If it does not work, please use the TYPO3 user list for support at http://typo3.org/1422.0.html as this is not a problem with extension rtehtmlarea.

Stanislas
