If you click on "Click here to install the extensio" the Extension Manager tells that an update is needed > Changing fields...
ALTER TABLE tx_dbal_debuglog CHANGE script script varchar(255);
Current value: varchar(255) default ''
ALTER TABLE tx_dbal_debuglog CHANGE serdata serdata BLOB;
Current value: blob

sorry, title is not that clear:
"EM wants to change fields everytime the extension is installed" - ALL the time and even if I clicked the update button ten ore more times ;)

The missing default and the uppercase field type have been changed now.
