As this report is very old, is the handling in newer TYPO3 CMS Versions (like 6.0/6.1) more like you expect it?

Yes this one is still open:
1.) Backend
2.) Adminwerkzeuge (tools)
3.) Konfiguration (Configuration)
4.) ....
There is a search now, but it's not alphabetical, so it's harder to look through.
It would be nice to have a alphabetical order option. But that's realy a nice to have :-)

See screenshot, for me it looks alphabetical.
Do you mean something else?

Shame on me! I dind't realize, that it's alphabetical now by default! Close it :-)
