Description
This problem was brought to me by an editor, but I can confirm this bug.
If you enable autocompletion in your browser (IE or Firefox) and select one item of the autocompletion instand of typing the value in to the "input-field". The "Edited Symbol" (Arrow) does not appear.
Further more if you save the dataset, this input-field is not saved!!!
Some Input-Fields have autocompletion and some not. But if there is the autocompletion the problem emerges.
Example:
1. Create Dataset with Values in Input-Field -> Save
2. Delete/Change Value -> Save
3. Type part of the first value into the field -> Select Value of autocompletion
If you leave the input-field there should be no arrow and the value is not saved.

for every input the default value should be:
autocomplete="off"

The issue is very old, does this issue exists in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
