The following setup has raised the error:
Root-Page
Page A (Shortcut to Page B)
Page B
Page A is for a Closed User Group where the flag "include subpages" is set. Additionally, Page A is a shortcut to Page B.
The icon shown in the pagetree is the one for a hidden page combined with the arrow for shortcuts.
If the include subpages flag is unset, the icon will be the correct on (shortcut arrown plus cug-symbol)
