Description

This method allows to overwrite markers in a fully generated website after all the caching was already done. So this is very useful for small on-the-fly replacements, for example display the fe_user name, or the time used for page generation.

The hook will allow extensions to add their own rewrite rules.

in case we do not have that already ... wouldn't such a method also make sense right before storing the generated page in the cache?

@Ingo: I see no reason to replace content on cached pages. Can you give me an example?
