Description

Having lots of sub-pages that have the same name but different content, it happened that I wanted to change the name of a page, but subsequently I had to change the name of the all 120 pages having the same name. A feature would be to be able to link the title to the title of another record, or maybe in general, the properties of a page or of a content to the properties of alinked page or content (the content being different)

Can you please give an example of how the titles of the pages/sub-pages/etc. could look like?

Maybe below the title input, to have a selector area on which you click, which opens the tree window, and you select the the CE from which you wish to grab the title. Or if this CE has no title and if it is a TEXT CE, then it grabs the text of this CE. The normal title would have precedence over the selector box.

For the CE or page properties inheritance it is a bit more tricky, but still. One could imagine a new tab "Inheritance" where you select the CE/page from which you want to grab properties. This way, this solution also includes the title note mentioned above. You may have some checkboxes to avoid some properties to be overriden. To be even more flexible, one could imagine multi-inheritance through sections, where we could inherit some properties from one CE/page, some others from some other. Priority would be done top to bottom in case same properties are picked.

Just a thought...

As this report is very old, is the handling in newer TYPO3 CMS Versions (like 6.0/6.1) more like you expect it?
