We wanted to translate the TYPO3 Core into Thai but failed as we werent able to read the Thai letters. They appear totally compressed in llxml-extension. We changed as a temporary workaround /typo3/stylesheet.css Fonts to ms-sansserife 14px then the letters appear in right size - unfortunately all other letters are also much to big now.

Hard to find a solution for this, The BE would have to set a lang attribute for all truely translated item, so that the [lang|xx] CSS rule can be used. But to make this work the complete translation handling needs to be rewritten.

The issue is very old, does this issue exists in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
