When doing the following:
$ajaxObj->addContent('success', false);
Only an empty array gets returned.
Patch is included, but the return mechanism of the old value might be misleading if the former value was actually a boolean false.
change line 117 in class.typo3ajax.php to:
if (!isset($content) || (!strlen($content) && $content !== false)) {
