Hey guys,
I tried to set up TYPO3 4.2.6 on our server of host gator, but it report the error when I come to the second step in TYPO3 4.2 Install Tool:
Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/harryho/public_html/typo3/t3lib/class.t3lib_db.php on line 988

Notice: There is another website on the hosting. I'm not sure if it will affect installing typo3?
Could any one give me some feedback or direction?

The issue is very old, does this issue exists in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
