Search results disappear when switching to extended view

Description

When searching for something using a quicksearch (i.e. in the header), then the search results appear. As soon as I switch to extended search on the result page, the results disappear.

The issue is very old, does this issue exists in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
