Feature request: Multiple temporary mounts

Description
The ability to temporarily mount sections of the page tree from the context menu is a great feature, but it could be made better.
It would be really great if you could have more then one section of the tree mounted at a time. Much like one can have multiple clipboards, the idea of having two (or even four) areas of the tree temporarily mounted at once would be very handy. This would then display them the same way as they are if a BE user has multiple mounts for there group/user account.
Each path would be listed in the top display box in the same order aas the mounts are in the tree.
Maybe it could be configurable like the clipboard so that you could turn it on or off for users, or also define the maximum number of tree mounts they could have.
To cancel the mount(s) instead of having the words 'Cancel temporary DB mount' at the top maybe just a little 'x' icon at the start of the path.
If this is achievable I might be willing to sponsor for this feature.

The issue is very old, does this issue exists in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
