Description
This hook allows the developer to manipulate the id array which is called when users edit content elements. Therefore individual content elements can be easyly excluded from the editing process. (e.g. to set user permissions for particular content elements)

As the diff is to short, I don't know where you liked to add this hook. But do you mean something like:
$GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['SC_OPTIONS']['typo3/alt_doc.php']['makeEditForm_accessCheck'] ?
