Description

My site is in maintenance mode for the moment (upgrading extensions etc). Meanwhile, as admin I want check user roles etc and I switch to a BE user role (switch-back mode) and get a message: site in maintenance mode. And voilĂ  I'm blocked. I can't go back to my admin role.
This isn't logical. As admin I should:
- be able to just take on the user role for my work purpose (even when the real user can't do it).
- or get the maintenance message but also have a switch-back button
First option would be the most convenient.

Hi,

as this issue is very old. Does the problem still exists within newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
