Description

every now and then I have to do changes on more than one record and its easier to step one record forward than go back to list-view and edit next record. Especially if you have more than 100 records, because then you have to page to the next record, which means you first have to switch to record-list-view and then page forward.

desired click-path:
save -> edit next record

actual click path:
save -> leave edit = fall back to list view (all records) -> [ enter record-list-view -> page to next record ... ->] edit record

Also you can edit one field for multiple records, it would be easier to step forward/backward, because sometimes you need to edit more than one field.
Also if you want to change an RTE-field it will take very much memory and time building up so much RTE-fields.

  • TYPO3 Version set to 4.4

Hi,

as this issue is very old. Does the problem still exists within newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?

oh, what a strange response.

problem still exists?

do you have used TYPO3 CMS at all?

TYPO3 CMS never had this feature, and still does not have it.
so it is no problem, but a missing feature.
therefore I requested it.

No, I never used TYPO3, I only poke through thousands of old issues here to frustrate users.

But it also may be that I go through all the old issues to get feedback if they are still wanted, to categorize them or close them if not needed any more (or already implemented). So all developers get a better overview of what is needed by the users.

Won't have this time sorry.
Thank you for the idea!

Too complicated to always know which is "next".
Also we want editor to return to the previous view and focus and edit next entry.
