Maybe related to http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=16364 ?

I think that this is caused by one of the updates of Ext JS in the Core.
I already tried fixing this. Bodo, can you check if it works with the current SVN version of feeditadvanced? You find the repository here:

Partly. With svn version I can again drag & drop a new CE from the top toolbar. Only at top position, not at the end, not between existing CE. Editing form opens, works and saves changes but the lightbox isn't closed at save time. After reload of page new CE is there. Existing CE can't be edited (no mouse-over reaction in the content area at all).

Did you clear your browser cache after you updated feeditadvanced?

That the drop zones don't become visible might be an error in feeditadvanced, but can also be influenced by the template you use. Same for the missing hover effect.

I never encountered the problem that the lightbox does not close after saving.
I think you should get JavaScript errors on the Console of Firefox.

I maybe experiencing the same problem. I just upgraded to 4.5rc1. Before the update feeditadvanced was working fine. After the update I see the toolbar at the top, but, the edit icons that used to be at the top left of each content block are now missing. They seem to have been replaced by the old style front end editing icons from TYPO3 core and are located in the lower left hand corner of each content block.
