Using the remove format dialogue with option for removing all html formating removes tags and contents of some inline tags (b,em,i,s,u).

Please test attached patch. After applying the patch, you need to clear the RTE cache with the backend clear cache menu (in TYPO3 4.3, delete all files in typo3temp/rtehtmlarea).
