Why this was changed to 4.6 branch? It is an easy and insignificant fix - it could be easily implemented into 4.5 LTS branch.

This field is not available in FAL, so this is still an issue, if someone wants to use HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.x
For HTML5 (in both searializations) it is not applicable, since longdesc does not exist anymore in the latest recommendation:

I guess this issue can be ignored after all, time will solve this problem.
