"When I try to cut and paste the table, it leaves the
<table></table>
tags behind and I have to go to source mode to delete them.
I click inside td in the table that brings table tag in the path (bottom
of RTE editor). I then click on table to select the whole table. Then I use
ctrl+x to cut and ctrl+v to paste the table. I have tried using the cut
paste buttons on RTE menu and got the same result."

The problem arises in Firefox, but not in IE, nor in WebKit.
