Description
In FireFox it seems impossible to move the cursor outside a table if there are no other elements next to table. As such, there is no way to add a new line after the table or a new line before the table.

Did you experience a similar behaviour in later TYPO3 versions, e.g. in 4.6 or one of the 4.7 alpha versions?

Yes, this is also present in the latest 4.6 development version.

You need to configure buttons insertparagraphbefore and insertparagraphafter (see http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/extension-manuals/rtehtmlarea_manual/2.1.2/view/4/5/).
When the cursor is inside a table, pressing one of the buttons in the toolbar inserts a paragraph before or after the table.
