Description
Currently the whole TYPO3 page tree is searched, but I think it would be good to be able to restrict the search to just the current branch (the current page and any and all sub pages), or the current site (going back in the page tree until a page with "act as root page" is found, or until the page's pid is 0).

This feature already exists:
1. Mount the wanted branch as temporary tree root via the context menu option
2. Use the filter function

Sorry! I didn't know you could do this... although I have been using TYPO3 for years. That's really useful!
