In Install Tool > Important Actions is a table with the important system information at the top. This shows an empty cell for both port and socket if the default socket (empty string) is configured.

Adopt the view such that the only either port or socket is shown and such that an empty socket prints the text "default socket". The text "default socket" is printed with emphasis so that it is not confused with an actual value.
