Description

These fields are missing in the backend when filemetadata is activated.
This problem is on Windows only.

Matadata tab
  • language
  • content_creation_date
  • content_modification_date

I tried to copy my website on linux and I was able to see the fields there.

  • Status changed from New to Needs Feedback

Could you check if there are differences in the TCA configuration of sys_file_metadata between both installations?
You can use the configuration module to view the TCA.

We like to investigate this issue in our sprint at the end of the month. Can you give us feedback?

I checked between a website on linux and windows on typo3, and no differences in the TCA..
I sent 3 pictures
  • One of TCA for an example for content_modification_date (no differences on linux and windows)
  • One to see fields on windows
  • One to see fields on linux

I noticed that these fields are missing on Mac, too (Tested with Chrome, Firefox; latest 7.6 master; on 6.2.15 they are visible)

I performed a test with 6.2.25, 7.6.9 and the latest master on Mac (chrome):

6.2.25 > the field "file language" is visible, "content_creation_date" and "content_modification_date" NOT VISIBLE

7.6.9 > the field "file language" is visible, "content_creation_date" and "content_modification_date" NOT VISIBLE

8.2-dev (latest master) > all fields are visible

So I think it is solved on the latest master. Could someone check with Windows? Thank you!

Sorry, I can't test this. I don't have Typo3 sites on Windows anymore.

Updated by Riccardo De Contardi over 7 years ago

I performed a test with 6.2.30, 7.6.15 and 8.5.1 on Chrome, Firefox (Windows7)

Results:

6.2.30 > fields: "file language", "content_creation_date" and "content_modification_date": NOT VISIBLE
7.6.15 > fields: "file language", "content_creation_date" and "content_modification_date": ALL VISIBLE
8.5.1 > fields: "file language", "content_creation_date" and "content_modification_date": ALL VISIBLE

So the issue seems solved on 7.6.x and 8.x

I close this one as it affects only 6.2, which is now officially unsupported (see https://typo3.org/news/article/new-typo3-maintenance-releases-last-typo3-cms-62-release/).

If you still need help, please consider that there is an ELTS service https://typo3.com/our-services/extended-support/

If you experience the issue again then please reopen it or open a new issue with a reference to this one. Thank you.
