Feature #69990
closedDifferent Favicons for Filelist or per Module

Description
One thing that I've heard editors complain about regarding TYPO3 is the time it takes to switch between File list and Page module when they add new files and link to them from the RTE.
Of course, uploading is also possible in the link dialogue, but still, the overview is better in the entire filelist module.
So what I tell them is to keep two tabs open, one with page module and one with the filelist. When doing this myself, I notice I regularly forget about and / or lose the second tab -and thus don't use that method.
A smart ux fix for this could be updating the favicon depending on the module you're in. Or at least add in a different module for filelist.

Although I understand this request, I recommend not to add this to the core itself.
First: People can set custom favicons to differentiate installations in different tabs. So we would loose that "feature" now.
Additionally, from a technical point of view, the iframe would need to tell the parent frame to change the favicon (back and forth) and we have a lot of difficulties with this in general already (e.g. updating the current page ID etc).
So, if you need it, I think it can be done in an extension, but nothing the core should support out of the box.
