Description

We should remove the jquery based date element. There are several reasons for doing so:

  • The date element is supported by all major browsers. Safari on Mac is the only browser with no native support.
  • To achieve a great frontend performance it is no good idea to load jquery and jquery UI to add a datepicker functionality. This can be handled with lighter packages.
