If mail addresses are encrypted with config.spamProtectEmailAddresses, only an A-tag is output without any href, both in TYPO3 10.4.19 and 9.5.29, possibly also in v7 and v8.
Although
lib.parseFunc.htmlSanitize = 0
lib.parseFunc_RTE.htmlSanitize = 0
solves the problem, it thwarts imo the security update

Can be closed, as duplicate to 94776.
Patch solves the problem.
