Description

Fluid styled content still has no media queries in the default css styles. Nowadays css with media queries should be included (even if no bootstrap package is used).

Thanks for creating the issue.

While I totally agree that responsive images are a must have, there is IMO currently no need for that in the core as the frontend is not responsive?

There are extensions like https://github.com/smichaelsen/melon-images or https://github.com/b13/picture which integrate it very easily.

Do you agree that there would be 1st a default good template in the frontend and 2nd a concept how to configure it for BE+FE and only then responsive images make sense in the core?

I don’t mean responsive images. I mean some css media queries in the default css styles of fsc when using floating settings like text right and image left.

true but nevertheless: the whole default content elements and its styling is outdated and can't be used out the box.. so which benefit would be there?

Why do you think it is outdated? I think only the responsive CSS is missing.

because the content elements itself don't fit the needs editors need and how this can be properly integrated. configurations like "10 images on right side in 3 columns" is not how most of us implement elements today

That’s an option editors don’t have to choose ;)
But e.g. 3 images in one or two columns on the right side might be chosen.
What would be your suggestion?

hey bernhard,

I am closing this issue to also cleanup forge of things which need a bigger picture. without a true decision of a frontend framework, a real default template it doesn't make sense to add some responsive css - better keep it so simple instead of putting just some very small changes which don't really help to get a nice frontend up and running
